Having worked from home for a few years myself I just can’t go back to the pointless routine of commuting into the office and back home every single day. Some employers are still old-school about working from home and don’t understanding the carbon foot print it leaves with all that travel, not to mention extra office space, air-conditioning and office attire we feel we have to wear and keep pristine looking. Good luck with your job hunting.

Looking forward to seeing more posts about the organic garden. That eucalyptus will extract every drop of moisture out of the surrounding soil (my house in Melbourne is surrounded by them). I use the leaf matter to create a layer of mulch on the surface, leaving it where it falls if on the garden beds. It’s the easiest and most efficient mulching you’ll ever do. No weed will ever grow through a 2 inch layer of gum leaves!

Garret: We also use yoghurt cups to make “maracas” for the kids. We put rise inside one cup than glue it up to another cups and it’s used as a sound instrument.

I don’t think they are a luxury. Some cell phones cost less than a video game and there are packages with low call prices.
