The most efficient way to pack different-sized...

A suitably procedure of a dietetic treatment linked with proper exercise and other measures for promoting elimination is the exclusive scientific method of dealing with obesity.

The major factor in this treatment should be the balanced election of foods which supply the maximum required nutrients with the least number of calories.

To begin with, the patient should initiate a juice fast for seven to ten days. Lemon juices, grape fruit, orange, pineapple and celery, may be taken during this phase. Prolonged juice fast up to 40 days can also be undertaken, but only under professional supervision and control.

As an option, short juice fasts should be repeated at periodic intervals of two months or so until the appropriate decrease in weight is achieved.

After the juice fast, the person should spend a furthermore four or five days on an all – fruit diet, having three meals of fresh juicy fruits such as oranges, grapefruit, pineapple and papaya. Thereafter, he may gradually go for a low calorie well balanced diet of three basic food groups, namely: seeds, nuts and grains, vegetables and fruits, with priority on raw fruits, vegetables and fresh juices.

The foods which should be remarkably reduced or totally avoided are high fat foods such as butter, cheese, chocolates, cream, ice cream, fat meats, fried foods, and gravies; high carbohydrate foods like bread, candy, cake, cookies, cereal products, legumes, potatoes, honey, sugar, syrup and rich puddings beverages such as all fountain and alcoholic drinks.

Of course some people prefer to go through the expensive but easier way to get rid of weigh and they go to a Cosmetic Surgery Clinic to be “fixed”. Of course this type of clinic can help the person improve several parts of the body in the same surgery making it worth the money spent. It can also be useful to remove scar imperfections. Overall the use of a clinic is an easy way to have a great body without going through weight loss diets.

Of course not everyone can afford cosmetic surgery so most of the time a strict diet plan must be followed to accomplish the goal of losing weight.

Healthy eating pyramid similar to that of the ...

If you’re trying to lose weight or simply wanting to eat better for your health, there’s no shortage of information that you can turn to for help. You do have to be careful when looking for advice on maintaining a healthy diet. There are tons of fad diets and crazy eating plans that promise to help you lose 20 pounds in a week. If you ask any medical or weight loss expert, they will tell you to stay far away from those crazy plans. Some of these fad diets may work for a few weeks, but they end up doing more harm than good in the long run.

Eat for Health and Weight Loss Will Follow
Many people begin a diet simply to lose weight. While it is important to maintain a healthy weight, putting your weight before your overall health can cause you to make some poor dietary choices. A lot of people will drastically cut back on calories, or cut out a particular part of their diet, like carbohydrates, completely in the quest to lose pounds. Again, these methods can work in the short-term, but you will not be very health when all is said and done. Instead of focusing solely on weight loss, take a balanced approach to healthy eating and some pretty incredible weight loss will usually follow.

Quick Tips for Health Eating
Instead of bogging you down with the science of dozens of nutrients and why they make sense for your diet, here are some quick tips that should be a part of every healthy eating plan.

• Add more fiber to your diet. The average American has terrible digestive problems going on that they may not know about for years to come. The culprit behind these digestive disorders, like diverticulosis and other ailments, is low fiber diets. Simply adding more fiber to your diet will do wonders for your overall health and will help you to lose weight too.

• Drink more water. Staying hydrated is key to staying healthy. Sip water constantly throughout the day. Don’t wait until you’re thirsty to drink. If you start to take in lots of healthy water on a regular basis, your health will improve, you’ll feel better, and you will probably lose a few unwanted pounds in the process.

• Graze, don’t gorge. The smart approach to eating healthy is to break up your meals into 4 – 6 smaller meals instead of 3 larger meals (and a couple of large snacks). If you graze by eating smaller, nutrient-dense meals, you will find it much easier to eat healthy foods and to avoid weight gain. You’ll also speed up your metabolism which will help you lose body fat.

Add these three simple tips to your daily eating plan and you will begin to feel better and drop some pounds. Remember to exercise in conjunction with a healthy diet to get the most out of your new eating plans. A few days of exercise each week, coupled with a smart diet will help you look and feel your best for years to come.

When you want to achieve a realistic and healthy goal weight, you need to consider and do the following: keep track of your weight loss progress and set a realistic goal weight.

In your quest for a leaner body, it is necessary that you aim for a healthy one. To do so, you have to ensure that you carry out these important ways in order to achieve a realistic and healthy goal weight:

Keep track of your weight loss progress

Oftentimes, you may feel disappointed realizing that your weight has remained the same even with your constant and regular exercise program. It is helpful to follow any improvement on your weight. This is possible by:

  • tracking your body fat percentage – if you track your body fat, you will understand further the extent of the need to shed of fat from your body to lose weight. It can happen that your scale weight is the same even when you already have slimmed down. This is especially true when your gaining muscle as you lose your body fat.
  • using the scale – using a scale is the least on the list when wanting to determine any progress in your body weight. It measures basically everything from bones, muscle, fat, organs to even your water intake. It does not help you determine on the ones you have lost or gained during your weight loss program. It may not be as popular as the other tool in tracking your weight, but it can be used effectively when combined with your body fat percentage.
  • taking your measurements – this does not require any complicated equipment at all. This will aid you in identifying which parts of your body is losing fat. You should measure your chest, waist, bust, hips, waist, upper arm, calves, and forearm.
  • assess how you look – this is, of course, the simplest. Take a look at yourself in the mirror and see how you look. You can even take a photo of yourself once a month and compare these photos. Find out if there are any changes, whether you look slimmer or heavier.

Set a realistic goal weight

First things first, set a weight loss goal that is absolutely realistic. Work on a goal weight that is achievable so as not to end up being frustrated. Ultimately, your goal should be a healthy weight. So, consult your doctor first. Realistic goal is positive, precise, prioritized, planned and performance-based. Along with setting a realistic goal weight, you also need to consider these two:

  • BMI or body mass index – it is important to consider your BMI in setting your goal weight since it helps your doctor in determining any risks on any weight related health issues. Your body mass index or BMI is derived by dividing your weight (in pounds) by your height (in inches squared)., and multiplying it by 705.
  • WHR or waist-to-hip ratio – your waist-to-hip ratio is also usually considered by your doctor. You can calculate it by taking the circumference of your waist and dividing it by the circumference of your hip using a tape measure. Women with ratios higher than 0.85 and men with ratios higher than 0.09 are likely to develop cardiovascular diseases.

It is best to note that an exercise program along with a healthy diet are necessary in achieving the body weight you always wanted to have. Just make sure you choose the ones that fit you right. Always remember that a surgery is not always the solution for a leaner body. If you plan to go on a diet, be sure to read books to thoroughly increase your awareness and knowledge. Reading the every other day diet ebook might be of help to you too.

Weight vs Height Values Sometimes are Correct

This Monday my daughter went to her 6 years old check up. She was weighted, measured and did the vision test. In one year she gained 6 kilos (13,2 pounds) and the nurse said it was too much weight gain in one year. She really scared me by telling me that my daughter’s diet had to be supervised because she could be obese in a near future. I was really scared with the idea and told the nurse that I would follow her instruction.

Usually, this routine check ups are followed by a doctor appointment in the same day. When I entered in the doctor’s office I immediately told her what the nurse had told me. The doctor said: Uau…13,2 pounds in one year between the age of 5 and 6 really is too much. Than she check my daughter’s book (where all medical data is) and she immediately said: Well, she’s not fat nor gaining weight too fast. She grew 10 cm (3.9″) in one year and the height versus weight is just fine. She increased 13,2 pounds but she also grew in the same proportion. She is just fine in the final chart, she can be taller and heavier than other kids her age but because of her genes.

When comparing my son’s data at the same age my daughter is slightly taller so everything is fine. It just show us that she is not going to be like her two grandmothers, who are small. :)

This gives us a warn. Sometime kids seem they are gaining too much weight but we always have to take the height factor to compare. Of course this is different when we are talking about adults that already have their established height, but the gain factor should always be taking into consideration before trying to find the top diet pill.

Here is a video, weight related, for those that think they are too fat or too skinny.
