Cold, rain, boots, heavy coats, umbrella and fog. These words are synonymous of Autumn. Beaches, swimming pools, camping, beach towels, sun umbrella, shorts and sandals belong to the past season. No more bikinis or swimming suits. Top selling diet pills are no longer a priority once the bodies are hidden with thick and heavy clothes. Halloween is just a few days ahead and costumes are a priority now as well as candies and sweets.

Christmas is the most wonderful season in the whole year. It is a season of love and giving. On Christmas most people are expecting Christmas gifts, especially children. It

At this time of the year people are busy buying gifts for their families and special ones. Supermarkets and shopping malls are crowded with buyers. Choosing Christmas gifts can be a real pain, especially when we don’t have a clue of what to give.

Well here are some ideas: Clothing, accessories, beauty products and perfumes. There are also personalized gifts that can be done at home or buy them in stores that personalize products. For men, there is The Pen Company that provides great pens fully personalized. For girls, personalized shirts, jewelry accessories and dolls. Boys will enjoy toys and video games depending on the age. For women jewelry is always a good option as well as home decoration items, candles and books.

Although Christmas is seen as a give and receive season, but the financial crisis that is going around the world is changing the mentality of people. Materialism has to be stopped and Christmas is a great occasion to do so. Buying toys to kids that already have a huge amount of toys is not a wise idea.

Christmas can also be turned into a Green Season. Toys, Clothes, blankets, etc. that are no longer in use can be offered to institutions or directly to people in need. Christmas can be changed into give without waiting to receiving. In our family we have an agreement: we only give gifts to kids. We save money and at the same time we make our children happy with good gifts.

Christmas is also a loving season and what matters is having the family together, have a good meal and enjoy each others company.

During the past five years my friend Mary has dedicated her free time to make hand made products. Jewelry, decoupage and other related items. Finally she was invited to participate in a trade show. She is so thrilled with the idea but she has a lot of work ahead of her before the show.

Having a stand in a trade show requires a lot of preparation. She has to think about everything she wants and even take some suggestions. There are some services and furniture that needs to be requested like:

etc. etc.

She is very busy but she’s happy.

Doing what we like is the first step to Have a Better Life.

I had a few busy days with the living room painting a birthday party on Saturday and my own daughter’s birthday party on Sunday. And that is what I am going to write about today: Catherine’s fifth birthday.

Yes, my daughter is five years old and I feel the baby is gone for a long time already but I refused to accept it and I have a little girl now.

I did it with my son so now it’s time to do it with her. Here are the words that come up to my mind about Catherine:

  • Independent - She is a very independent little girl. She does (or wants to) almost all tasks by herself like bathing, dressing, brush teeth, eat, etc. .
  • Grown-up – She is very mature and independent to her age so sometimes she looks like a little grown-up
  • Baby - For me she is my baby
  • Sweet - She’s the sweetest thing I have.
  • Kisses and Hugs – She likes to give me kisses and hugs all the time, very different from my son and she also loves to receive.
  • Demanding - She’s very demanding, she wants to be the boss and wants everything to be done the way she wants.
  • Pretty - She’s pretty, beautiful and adorable
  • Flower - She’s my flower.  Flower was the blog name I gave her when I started blogging.
  • Photos - She loves to pose to photos and sometimes I get the cutest and at the same time strange photos I have.
  • Helper - She wants to help with every task: cleaning, cooking, gardening, etc.
  • Organized - She likes to organize her stuff and our stuff. If she sees an open drawer, she closes it. I hope she continues this way.
  • Clothes - She wants to choose her own clothes and loves to dress with skirts and short sleeve t-shirts.
  • Artist - She’s a little artist when it comes to drawing and telling stories. She has an amazing imagination and she already does amazing drawings.

Here she is with her birthday present:
