We weren’t going anywhere on this vacation but a neighbor and friend convinced me that it would be better, for our own mental health, to go somewhere away from home. As she knows we don’t have a financial life that allows us to go to an Hotel, she told me about some Camping Parks she knows and advised me to go to one of them.

I checked the sites on the Internet and decided to call one camping park that is located in a mountain and I was able to rent a bungalow for five days. Once is not located near the coast the prices are lower and affordable.

Besides a bungalow for 4 with WC, kitchen, fridge, hot water and electricity we will have free access to the barbecue, pool, football field, beach (river beach), canoeing, etc.. I just have to take bed clothing, towels, food, and our clothes and shoes. No fancy clothes or sexy shoes are needed for this type of vacation, the more comfortable the best.

Renting a bungalow or even using a tent in a camping park can be a great solution for those with a small budget to spend on vacations.

Today it’s my first vacation day! So, in the next days, I’m going to write about vacation related tips.

Sun Protection… I’ve already written about my own experience with sunburns and believe me, this is something we just can’t ignore.

I have a very white skin therefore I burn very easily. I usually use my kid’s sun protector and I try to be as much as I can away from the sun.

My kids are very often in contact with outside air, meaning they spend little time on the sun but they do a lot of outdoor activities. For those not knowing, the hot air can still burn the skin. So, even when they go to daycare I protect them with a sun protector.

Due to the often outdoor activities they tun slowly but faster then someone that is indoor. I mean, they don’t get burned because they are not exposed to direct sun for several hours but instead, the frequent contact with an outdoor environment makes them tun, I can say, almost naturally.

The sun protector my kids use is NIVEA SUN Children’s Sun Spray Factor 40. I think a lower factor, and this is my personal opinion, is not appropriate for a child. Their skin is very sensitive, soft, unprotected and they really need a protection that allows them to be in contact with the sun safely.

• Drink water

Today it’s my 14th Wedding anniversary and I really wish I could be somewhere in a romantic trip. A co-worker asked me, if I had the money, where I would like to go to spend the Wedding Anniversary, I said: as long as I am with my husband, anywhere in the world.

There are a lot of exotic places I would like to visit and since I receive a lot of emails related to travel, I can see there is a wide variety of wonderful destinations. It seems that Spring is really here now. Although we still have a few windy and cold days, the sun shines and we have been having some hot days too.

In the backyard the garden is flourishing and it’s a pleasure to sit outside. With the laptop is easy to blog there, my daughter plays in the sandbox and my son plays soccer or rides the bicycle. Along with Laptops, MP3 players are a practical gadget, my son can listen to music while I type away in silence.

Although I sometimes blog while they are playing, I also love playing with them, but sometimes, we just need to do our own stuff, children and grown-ups. There is a time for everything.

Fresh recipes will be coming up on this blog, I’ll be using fresh and low fat ingredients so that you can enjoy summer without worrying with extra pounds. Enjoy outdoors activities and fresh air.
