What is lifestyle design? As a concept it should be something that we pay attention to. Society creates a template that is supposed to be the way that everyone goes to make it and be successful. Go to school, graduate, go to college, get a degree, work until you are old and gray, and finally retire to the life you dream of. But seriously, how many of us are happy on that path?
It is the time when we are young that we have the most energy to explore the world and the desire to see and live. For many people running the rat race becomes the stuff of nightmares. Of course making a change can seem impossible. And for the skeptic jumping in to someone’s paradigm sight unseen can be frightening at the least. But if you know how to restructure your goals and to take a hold of your lifestyle, in deed how to design it to fit your dreams and goals, you can live the life you want right now.
There are many sources you can consult for how to do this. The most trusted is the audio book, The 4 Hour Workweek by Tim Ferris. Looking at one man’s path can give valuable insights into how to restructure your own plans to create the lifestyle you want for yourself. In its most basic form Lifestyle Design is about time and mobility. While this can be done through extremes of outsourcing and management that plays on various currency exchanges or creates self automated businesses for cashflow, it need not be so radical.
For most people simply working less while being able to afford and enjoy what they have is enough. The good news is that he paradigm does work for a less radical approach just has handily as it does for the extremes. Without angling for having the book, one can find many resources on the web that can help with creating a new lifestyle design for themselves. This can be a way to travel or to allow you to to put your energy into those things that you are passionate about and do it now, instead of waiting four or more decades.
It may be a very unconventional lifestyle, but it should be one that you are happy with, not one that society forces you into. While this is not new, using the Internet and the new tools out there to make it possible are new. By looking at your life and selecting your goals you can move your lifestyle that direction. You may wish to have free time to do other things, or you may just want the freedom do to what you are passionate about while getting paid to do them. First realize that it is not the money that makes the life. It is the freedom that people dream of. Finding a passion that can make you enough money to cover your expenses is the exact thing you need to reduce the “work” in your life to something that is done because you enjoy it.

After a good night sleep nothing better than eating a nutritious, delicious, and primarily a relaxing breakfast.
If case you have children get up before them, make breakfast and have your breakfast alone so that you don’t get disturbed.
If you like to have your breakfast with your family than prepare the breakfast before they get up, put everything on the table prepared for their arrival.
Try not to get into conflict with other family members while you are having your breakfast. Stay relaxed and transmit that feeling to the other people sitting next to you.

This one is a classic – sleep well and you will have a better life.
A good night sleep is halfway to a better following day. The day will begin smoothly, with better humor, with a good dose of patience, and with the will that you will survive another day whether it is a working day, a weekday or whatever day.
Since going to bed late at night can disturb your sleep, try to go to bed early and at the same time every day.
Oversleeping in the morning can disturb your humor and can cause headaches besides a general bad mood. Therefore, keeping waking up at the same time every day, even if you have to put the alarm on.
Sleep well and Have a Better Life!

Whether you’re a landlord, a tenant, or a homeowner, gas and electricity inspections are an essential part of living in the UK. Landlords, due to their relationship with the tenant, come under the strictest legal requirements, but even homeowners should consider the safety of their gas and electricity both for their own sake and for their neighbours and visitors.
Legal requirements
As a landlord, there are explicit legal requirements that necessitate checks to confirm the safe running of gas and electrical appliances in your household. Gas and electricity fall under separate laws: the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 stipulate unambiguously that all gas appliances must be tested at least once every 12 months. Electrical goods fall under both The Consumer Protection Act 1987 and The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, specifies that the landlord – as a provider of electrical goods to the tenant – has a responsibility to ensure that they are safe to use.
It could save your life
Carbon monoxide is the product of gas appliances when they burn gas incompletely, and it is highly poisonous as well as being tasteless and having no smell. It can and does kill but can be avoided in almost all cases by ensuring that gas installations are of the necessary standard, any work required on gas appliances in the home is carried out by an authorised engineer, and that gas inspections are carried out regularly. A carbon monoxide alarm in homes that use gas can be a sensible precaution but should not be considered a replacement for a high standard of gas maintenance.
How often is it necessary for electrical inspections?
Unlike gas, the law is ambiguous with regards to the frequency required for electrical tests even though it does flag electrical safety as a landlord’s responsibility. It is probably advisable to do so annually, the same as with gas appliances. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) provide some useful guidelines, many of which are focused on the responsibilities of business owners but that can also apply to landlords.
Selling a property
If you intend to sell or even let your property, up-to-date gas and electricity checks are a reassuring selling point for potential buyers or tenants. Even if they do not ask to see a certificate, it can be an encouraging gesture if this information is voluntarily offered to them.

Having a busy life doesn’t mean it can’t be relaxed. We all know that it can be very stressful to take care of the house, the children, and… the husband. Make sure you follow some ideas to keep your house easy to deal with. For instance:
- Do not accumulate too many dirty clothes. As soon as you have a full machine just do the laundry.
- Keep your clothes in the right place. Don’t let them scattered around the houses, in chairs, floor, or sofa.
- Turn off home appliances and light when you leave a room.

Image via Wikipedia
- Keep your kitchen organized. Fridge and cabinets should be organized so that you always know where are the things you need when you need them.
- If you are fun of freezing, take advantage of that and cook in advance. With freeze meals you will have more free time for other activities.
- Teach your children to pick up the toys from the floor when they decide to play with another toy.
- Keep your garden free of weeds. If you let your garden gain too many weeds it will be more difficult to deal with it.
- Keep your garage gate in shape. Maintenance is needed from time to time once garage door springs replacement might be needed. Keep an eye on it and avoid being surprised by a malfunctioning.
- If you have a summer pool don’t forget to make the water test. Keep the water always controlled to prevent skin problems.
I will appreciate if you leave more suggestions on the comments area.

To have a better life we have to be in good health. Two years ago my son strained his right feet and his foot was never the same again. No ankle brace was recommended so he didn’t use one nor did he attended physical therapy. Two years passed and the pain was constant, sometimes more intense, other times more subtle. I decided to take him to a physical therapist and the answer was sharp: he has to use a ankle brace (very similar to an ankle brace basketball) and some physical therapy sessions.
The ankle brace was the start of a new life for my son. It gave his foot the stability it needed. Ankle braces should be used not only by injured people but also to prevent accidents.
