Last week it was my daughter’s birthday and she received a lot of clothes as gifts. From Hanna Montana to Hello Kitty, from white brands to H & M she received different pieces. As a lot of people shop on the same mall, she ended up receiving two skirts, same color, same model so today we went shopping so that we could exchange the repeated skirt for a new one.

We have been having a great weather lately. Temperatures have increased a lot (too much in fact) and light clothes have been used more often. In fact almost no clothes. On hotter days I stay at home with my bikini on. When I go out I use a tee shirt and shorts.
My kids prefer to use a few custom tee shirts we ordered for the Summer. My daughter loves girly tee shirts while my son prefers theme ones. Movies and series are great inspiration for young kids and they like to have the latest fashion.
Last week we went to see the Eclipse movie and now my son is seeking for Eclipse merchandise once he already has four tee shirts of the other two movies. Now that Toy Story 3 movie is out my daughter wants a personalized tee shirt for her with Barbie and Ken.
I really haven’t find the right tee shirt for me. I’m not looking for Obama t-shirts for sure. I would like one with a phrase about being a mom. Something funny. Not a Once I’m in my 40′ I feel a little awkward to wear a tee shirt with unappropriated content. So, I’m still looking for the right one.

Does having a better life means having better clothes? Not necessarily, but I surely would be more confident when I go out if I had better clothes.
My wardrobe really needs a makeover and I must confess that I started but I gave up because I realized that if I giveaway my old clothes I end up with nothing on my wardrobe, sad but true. I look at my closed and I see that I stopped in time, not due to lack of time, space but money. In my closet you can find some jersey sweets made by me 15 years ago, some old woolen coats, a pair of breeches that were fashionable to wear 10 years ago, old clothes that do not fit me anymore but bring me some memories.
So what should you I do? Just grab everything and put in the garbage? Some clothes are so old they no longer are good for anyone.
I like to see a TV Show, I don’t remember the name right now, where they take an entire wardrobe and put it in the garbage bin and then they offer a new style, new clothes, shoes. Well I need that. Maybe some organic clothes because I’m on a Go Green style. Well, I just need the money…
Can you believe it that I haven’t bought new clothes in two years? I’m feeling very uncomfortable with the clothes I have because they are old, used and really need to be replaced.
I’m not a shopping fanatic, not at all, I only buy what I need but lately (latest years) I only buy for my kids. My kids are growing-up and they really need clothes and shoes and in the end there is no money left for me or for dad. With the financial crisis that is around all of us I think I won’t have money for clothes in a near future. Call me a pessimist if you want but I think I am just being a realistic person.
