We all know that it is important to wear comfortable clothes, but we also know that clothes must be healthy. By healthy I refer to the material used in the confection. Some material do not let our body breath and can even cause allergies and rashes.

Organic cotton, organic linen, recycled polyester or soy silk are among the eco friendly material we can look for. When buying new clothes, whether they are new or used, always double check the label to make sure you are buying organic.

Each day that goes by more eco-friendly houses are build or refurbished. The awareness for eco-friendly material has been increasing and it’s very easy to find eco-construction materials. Also the roofing, flooring, toilet and kitchen material is done with materials that are friends of the environment.

Flooring can easily be done with eco-friendly material. Wood and glass mosaic tiles are some of the material that are becoming very common once they are made of no-toxic material and are fully recyclable.

Eco-friendly materials are also useful to save energy by controlling indoors temperatures.

One of the things I realized when my father was in bed for three years due to long disease, was the quantity of medication he had to take. At the time I did a little research and I was able to find a eco-friendly solution for all those pills organization.

I found and you can to, special boxes with even smaller boxes inside with the days of the week and inside each day, a even smaller box for the time of the day. I was able to come across several material, all of them 100% eco-friendly.

There is a wide range of pill boxes made with these materials that are fully eco-friendly. They can be used, not only by people with disease, but also by people undergoing temporary treatments or taking weight loss pills. By having a proper container for the pills there is a higher level of security when it comes to take medication.

Healthy Recipe: Roasted Squash With Balsamic Sauce and Apples

Vitamin A is good for the eyesight and skin. The recipe is a very healthy one and with just a single serving a day, you can be assured of a healthier eyesight and glowing skin. Who would not want to look young? This is a good anti-aging recipe because of the squash’s Vitamin A content. A meal that is rich in fiber, Vitamins and minerals as well, very easy to prepare and squash is abundant all year through. So, there’s no reason not to try this one out!

Roasted Squash With Balsamic Sauce and Apples

Ingredients:

  • 2 large butternut squash (about 4 pounds), halved, and seeds and membranes removed
  • 1 piece ginger (about 1 inch), peeled and finely chopped
  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • Vegetable oil cooking spray
  • 2 Gala or Golden Delicious apples, cored and thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup dried cherries, chopped

Preparation

  • Heat oven to 400°F. Slice a small piece off the skin side of each squash half, so halves sit flat.
  • Microwave on high in a covered bowl until flesh begins to soften, 2 minutes.
  • Gently simmer ginger, vinegar and sugar in a small saucepan over medium-low heat until liquid decreases by 1/3, 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Line 2 large baking sheets with foil and coat with cooking spray.
  • Place squash halves skin side down on baking sheets.
  • Arrange apple slices in cavity of each half. Bake until apples soften, 25 minutes.
  • Remove squash from oven, drizzle with balsamic sauce, return to oven and bake until apples brown, 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Cut each squash half into quarters and transfer to a serving platter with any extra juices.
  • Sprinkle with cherries and serve immediately.

Have you made photo backups lately? Be aware that hard drives don’t last forever. I decided to buy several 8Gb USB flash drives to store my photos. Although there are higher capacity drivers, if it get damaged I will lose more information if the one I have on a 8GB one.

What kind of storage device do you use for your personal backups? A DVD, flash drive?
