Spending (out of the budget) Money

I hate when I have to spend money out of my established budget. Two weeks ago it was my desktop screen, today it was the kitchen faucet.

Let’s face it, that faucet is the original one, meaning it has 10 years and during those years we never had problems with it. A few weeks ago it started dripping water each time we used it and now it was already pouring water.

My husband just left to go looking for some Moen kitchen faucets at a local store. I hope it’s not very expensive, we have some big expenses in the next couple of weeks.

  1. I’m sorry about dripping water…It is really annoying when you have to spend more than the planned budget..nowadays people especially moms should be wise and economical to save but maximize the use of money…

  3. There are really times when a lot of things happen all at once or in a series of days. That is why I don’t really want to spend money if I don’t need to because my goal right now is to save money. I guess reading your posts will motivate me further…

  4. I agree with Mia, whenever you want to reduce the costs, something always breaks. You begin to suspect that the money can not be saved.

  5. I totally agree to the both of you. Basically when the time you wanted to reduce your bills, thats the time something happen like one of your sibling needs to be rush to the hospital, anything bout your home and family. Well all you have to do is be ready. Just save eventhough trying times comes along but atleast you have something in case of emergency.

  6. We totally have the same sentiments. I was already trying to stop myself from spending to much because I was literally spending more than I can earn and we all know that’s not good. Having a debt will make the scenario more complicated and it’s totally a problem.

  7. We always try to put aside an amount each month as a risk pot as part of the budget – I say try ‘cos it doesn’t always happen.
This allows us to at least partially fund these unforeseeable costs although there is still usually a deficit that needs to come out of next month.
