assess how you look – this is, of course, the simplest. Take a look at yourself in the mirror and see how you look. You can even take a photo of yourself once a month and compare these photos. Find out if there are any changes, whether you look slimmer or heavier.
Set a realistic goal weight
First things first, set a weight loss goal that is absolutely realistic. Work on a goal weight that is achievable so as not to end up being frustrated. Ultimately, your goal should be a healthy weight. So, consult your doctor first. Realistic goal is positive, precise, prioritized, planned and performance-based. Along with setting a realistic goal weight, you also need to consider these two:
BMI or body mass index – it is important to consider your BMI in setting your goal weight since it helps your doctor in determining any risks on any weight related health issues. Your body mass index or BMI is derived by dividing your weight (in pounds) by your height (in inches squared)., and multiplying it by 705.
WHR or waist-to-hip ratio – your waist-to-hip ratio is also usually considered by your doctor. You can calculate it by taking the circumference of your waist and dividing it by the circumference of your hip using a tape measure. Women with ratios higher than 0.85 and men with ratios higher than 0.09 are likely to develop cardiovascular diseases.
It is best to note that an exercise program along with a healthy diet are necessary in achieving the body weight you always wanted to have. Just make sure you choose the ones that fit you right. Following my post Money Saving Tips: Earn Money with Used Clothes I found a store in a nearby city that buys baby and children clothing and several other items for kids from 0 months to 10 years old.
I picked up some clothes that no longer fit my daughter and drove to the store really excited with the idea of receiving some money. The girl in the store chose the best clothes and rejected those that she felt no longer were fashionable (although some of them are of high quality). I think she was too picky when it came to fashionable or not fashionable clothes but ok, she’s in charge so…. Even so, I managed to get 26€ (+/- 32 US$). Most of the clothes were rejected but I was really happy with the money.
This store also accept books, toys, strollers, shoes, hats, cribs and all baby/child related products. All clothing and products available are as new, some of them we notice that they were never used before.
I have a lot of toys in the basement (what we call the toy room) that are no longer in use so I intend to make a selection and take the toys to the second hand store and see how much money I will bring home.
If we want we can choose to receive a certificate instead of money to use in the store and for that option they offer 20% more than if we receive the money. I really prefer the money because: First: I need it badly, second: I received many clothes from neighbors and friends for my kids, therefore I don’t need any more clothing.
Some people are ashamed of entering in a second hand store to buy clothes but believe me, they are of good quality and at a very cheap price.
This winter we spent too much money in energy to keep the house warm. One of our biggest problems is that we have major air leaks around the windows frames. Now that we have a kind of warm weather we have been thinking about what we should do to keep the house fresh during the future hot summer days.
My husband has a co-worker who is going to make a complete makeover on his house just to be able to control the heat during the summer and the cold during the winter. Once he has already his walls adjusted to the temperature changes with fiber glass, he is thinking about putting energy efficient windows and frames. Your chest muscles are made up of 2 muscle groups: the pectoralis major (commonly known as “pecs”), and the pectoralis minor. The pectoralis major is your largest chest muscle. It originates from your breastbone, that flat bone at the center of your chest. It then attaches to the humerus, just near the shoulder joint. The function of the pectoralis major is to adduct your humerus to bring it across your chest.
The pectoralis minor is located under the pectoralis major. It originates from the middle of your ribs and attaches to the coracoids process of the scapula. The function of your pectoralis minor is to rotate your shoulder forward, such as in the action of shrugging.

The primary muscle in your shoulders is your deltoid muscle. It is divided into anterior, lateral, and posterior parts. The origin of the anterior and lateral heads is the collar bone, while the origin for the posterior head is the scapula. Each muscle is then inserted halfway down the humerus, the biggest bone in your arm. The primary action of the deltoid is to abduct or bring your arm away from your sides.

I’m arriving at the bottom of the hole. No income, no job, bills to pay, family to feed, mortgage to pay, etc.
I’m having the time of my life because I’m now a SAHM although I consider myself a WAHM because I’m writing some requested articles from home and I keep looking for work online. The income is not enough but right now there are no jobs available and with my age (40) I’m considered a old women when it comes to work marketplace.
If only I could say that I can solve this situation by selling my jewelry or that I could sell my timeshare and abdicate from my house vacation, but that’s not the case, I have nothing to sell.
Next week I’m going to try to sell some of my kids clothes to a second hand store, maybe I can get some money from selling them.
I know this is a temporary situation and that I will probably will find a new job soon, but for now, my belt is really tight.
One of the things I regret is not having a savings account. A saving account is the first thing I’m going to open as soon as I have a regular income. In a difficult situation, a few bucks aside are a great help.
