I am on a medical leave and I can’t work due to some health issues. Once it is a emotional and psychological problem I can do my normal life except going to work in the office. I’m earning less money, soon none so budget, budget, save money, save money are words we hear a lot in the house.

So now, one of the things I want to schedule are my meals because everyday I struggle with what am I going to cook. Well, starting today, I’m going to follow a few cooking tips that I’ll be posting here. First ones are:

  • Making a big pot of soup.

It’s easy to do and using a hide variety of vegetables, rise, pasta or beans we end up with a nutritious, filling, and inexpensive meal. Green beans and Watercress soups are my favorites. We can complement the meal with some snacks, some cheese pieces, ham and fruit.

  • Salad

A simple salad with some extra ingredients such as pieces of tuna, ham, shrimp, chicken, eggs, beans, etc. can be used as a main meal instead of only a side dish.

If you a cooking tip you want to share, just leave me a comment.
