Go Green, Sustainability still is my main objective for this blog among other important subjects. On this holiday season I was kind of disappointed by watching people still thinking more about the gift and forgetting about the packaging.

Most packages still have materials that are hard to recycle. My daughter received dolls and make-up sets, my son toys inside packages and the packages were made with too much material, they were too heavy and some of them less than 50% recyclable.

However I noticed that in most stores the cardboard displays were made of almost 100% recyclable cardboard and they were light, using only the necessary material to sustain the gifts.

I wonder, why people waste so many heavy packagings, they are more expensive because they have more weight and they are more difficult to recycle. Next Christmas Season I hope people became more aware of the need to Go Green and protect the environment.

I’ve been so busy, so tired that I’ve been reducing the number of posts I write. When I arrive home from work it’s already dark, cold and sometimes I just want to dive in my bed and be really warm underneath the sheets.

I’m already preparing myself to work hard on my blogs, two of them regained their page rank and that was an incentive to me to keep writing and sharing information with my readers. I’m making a daily schedule for my blogs, certain subjects on certain days, certain subjects I want to cover, for now I only have a draft but I intend to stick to it.

Maybe in 2010 you will read here about a myrtle beach hotel, or a las vegas vacation but you will also read about going green, shopping tips and tips for you to have a better life. Stay tuned!

I have a friend that lost some part of his life. How? Well his computer literally burned out, in flames. An unsafe electrical connection to the PC was the reason of the accident. Now, he didn’t matter with the lost of the computer but he was really destroyed with the loss of important data information. Years of files and…most important… years of family photos that had never been backup.

I feel really sorry for my friend and I must say I learned a great lesson. I’ve already burned DVD’s with all the photos I have on my computer as well as important files. Right now I’m searching for a good online site where I can store photos, documents, where I can have an online backup of my computer in case something goes wrong with my PC.

I think that to have a better life sometimes we have to rely our own stuff to others and not only on our own stuff. Online storage seems to be safe and can offer us a backup of our own life data. But is it safe?

What do you think? Do you keep your documents and photos online?
