Why growing an Organic Gardening

This year I decided to grow vegetables and fruits in my garden. Although I don’t have much free time it’s a pleasure to take care of the garden and see the “fruits” of our work. I’m growing an organic garden therefore I’m not using chemicals.

Why should we indulge in organic gardening?

  1. Reduce the use of chemical: Although this time I bought compost because I was not composting at the time of the planting, next Friday I will have my own composter. Of course it is quicker to buy chemicals but the use of compost is beneficial for us and the environment.
  2. Eat healthier: By eating our own vegetables and fruits, we know we are eating healthy and free of pesticides products.
  3. Better soil: the use of compost and the no use of chemicals protects the soil and makes it healthier and improves the ecosystem.
  4. Relax: for those enjoying the gardening art like I do, have pleasure in growing their own organic garden, therefore they relax and enjoy spending time garden.
  5. Organic gardening practices help to keep the environment safe for future generations. Having two kids of my own I’m really worried about their future. It’s a shame some people don’t think like I do.
