Do you know that shopping online is a way to go green and save money?

By shopping online we don’t have to drive to the stores so we don’t waste money in gas and we reduce the carbon dioxide emissions. Nowadays we can buy everything online; from food to jewelery, from a car to a computer external hard drive, from a t-shirt to a mug. Shopping online is free, safe, time saving, environment friendly and pocket friendly.

    Yeah, I hear this all the time on esurance commercials. They always say buying insurance online saves paper.

    However, it depends what you buy online. Something that comes in a box filled with packing peanuts isn’t good for the environment. Styrofoam is awful.

    It would make the individual environmentally friendly but if you look at the whole picture. That is being off set by the emissions and energy used at to deliver the product to your front door. Green marketing is hot right now and people are flocking to the companies with it.

    The best way would be for all of us to stop buying so many things. Also, to not replace something if it’s still useful. There are so many used products out there that still work well but people replace them anyways.

    Buying online is much easy for me because i do not need to travel to different places. All i need is to check different website and order. It saves my time, effort and help the environment for not using my car.
