Sea salty water, exposure to the sun and swimming pool baths are pleasures that leave marks on an unprotected hair. In order to have only good memories of the Summer, some measures and prevention should be taken.

A lot is said about protecting the skin from the sun however hair has been forgotten. The truth is that hair also suffers from irreversible injures, that are permanent for the rest of the year.

Like the skin, hair shouldn’t be exposed to the sun for too long as well as to salty water, chlorine from swimming pool water or even from the wind.

These agents injure the elasticity, hydration, suavity and hair colour, leaving it with a discoloured and rough look

Naturally dry hair or colored demand extra care during sun exposure in order to keep hydrated A good shampoo is required. A Shampoo with an extra dose of nutrients for extra hydration, antioxidants and a UV filter

During sun exposure the hair should be tied to reduce the exposed area.

  1. I couldn’t agree more; the hair is usually taken for granted when it comes to over-exposure to harsh environmental elements. Before hitting the beach or chlorinated pool, I wet my hair in the shower, put some conditioner, rinse, then tie it very securely. Come shower time I don’t have extremely tangled hair and it doesn’t look so lifeless.
