If you can’t hold your shopping impulse each time you go by a window store it’s because you have a problem.
According to a recent European study one third of the adult consumers can’t control shopping impulse. This report reveals some of the causes why this happens:
- A high level of anxiety in the moment of the purchase
- Personal dissatisfaction, boredom, and in some cases, depressive situations.
- Vulnerability to publicity that connect consume with happiness, success and prestige.
- Going to the shop is like a waste time program
To overcome this vice:
- First step is recognize that you have a vice
- Group therapies can be very helpful but the comprehension and care from your family and friends have a more important role. They can can be a kind of tutors that convince you to leave the credit card at home
- Don’t give children and teens everything they want, first it is a bad example and second they tend to be shopping addicted adults.
