I recently knew that Botox can be used as an headache or migraine treatment and it has less side effects than other treatments. However Botox is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as an headache treatment and most private insurers are not paying for this type of treatment.

If you are thinking about using Botox for migraines or headaches, check first with your insurance company if they cover it.

  1. A great example of injectable pain killer, except this is a toxin. Botulinum toxin A injected into the muscles of the brow, eyes, forehead, side of the head and back of the head near the neck to induce sometimes immediate headache relief. I highly do not recommend it due to the destruction to skin tissues long term.

  2. Hmm, that’s very interesting. Now that I’m getting to “that dreaded age”, I could use it for both! Kill two birds with one shot! LOL!
