Meditech and Low Intensity Laser Therapy

I’ve known laser therapy for quite sometime. My co-worker has kidney stones very often and he does laser treatments every six months to brake the stones.

Laser Therapy has several clinical applications and Meditech International is the leader in the research of those applications. But what is Laser Therapy? I could copy a formal, technical description but I prefer to explain the easiest way possible: laser therapy is low intensity light emission (therefore the name of Low Intensity Laser Therapy), this light (photon energy) in contact with the skin, penetrates in the injured tissue and interacts with cells and molecules making a reaction that allows a healing process.Low intensity laser therapy prevents you from taking drugs to heal the injures, it’s no-toxic, no side effects, really restores function on cellular level and this treatment is affordable for patients with high ROI for practitioners.

Meditech is willing and making all the efforts to implement Laser Therapy Education therefore they are hosting Advanced Training Courses on Laser Therapy for Sports Injuries.

The use of laser therapy is very common in sports injuries due to the rapid results. Players can go back to the field very soon and they don’t have to worry with drug control once laser therapy is drug free.

Take a look at the courses specifications and if you are interested in some instruction you can sign up for one.

Diabetes medication – risks

Back in June I wrote an article about studies indicating that the use of Avandia in Diabetes patients could increase the risk of death due to heart attacks and strokes. Now it’s said that Actos Pills, also used by diabetes patients, seem to lower that risk. However both drugs can still be responsible for heart failure. The best option is always the patient discuss the subject with his/her doctor and together find the best medication and doses for each case.

Make your working space comfortable

Being in an office at least 8 hours a day, and been away from home so many hours, I try to keep my mental sanity by bringing from home some personal objects, food, and other useful items that I might need for some express (home) work.

I have pictures of my children, I have a bottle of water, some fruit and cookies hidden under the desk, I have my USB Pen to transfer any files I might need at home and I make personal phone calls from the office. We have always the radio on to keep connected to the local news and internet brings me the blogs and news from worldwide. We have two conference tables nearby that I usually use when I stay in the office at lunch time, in order to get away from my desk for a while and have a quiet moment reading, eating something or drinking a coffee.

Today I was checking Glam.com web page and I saw an Office OM article that really caught my eye. Here is what the Glam Article says:

REMOVE CLUTTER. Take the extra time to cut the clutter in your workspace. It’s amazing how much a clean desk can contribute to a clearer head. Green tip: Save a tree and prevent paper pileup by avoiding unnecessary printing.NATURAL ELEMENTS. Do weeks go by without your seeing the light of day? Bring the outdoors in with plants, flowers, stones, or even a small fountain. Position your desk so you get as much natural light as possible, and use full-spectrum lighting rather than fluorescent.

PICTURES AND ARTWORK. Adding a few pictures, colors, and textures can convert a cold, barren cubicle into an inspiring well of productivity. Images that represent a particular goal such as a dream house, fantasy car, or future vacation destination can be especially effective at helping you succeed.

SCENTS. Try a little aromatherapy to engage the brain and tantalize your senses. Add a few drops of essential oil to a diffuser or into a spray bottle to use as a refreshing spritz around the room. Try invigorating scents like lemon, orange, and bergamot, or calming ones like lavender and vanilla.

MUSIC. The perfect pick-me-up sans the caffeine. Whether it’s Mozart or Eminem, use music to liven things up or to keep yourself on an even keel through the day.

Try these tips and Have a Better Life.
