Moving to my own host service

Finally I decided to host my blogs on my own hosting service. I only signed up today with BlueHost and I’m still struggling with ftp transfers. I can’t download new themes because the unlimited FTP option crashes my Firefox. I downloaded a FTP transfer program but I’m still trying to figure it out how to transfer files to Bluehost Control Panel. I’ll get there…

I created a new domain to be used as test once I never worked with WordPress platform and I’m really willing to used those wonderful plugings WP has. As soon as I get used to it I will change my other two blogs that are already on my own domain, this own blog and the usefulstuffblog.com. One at a time.

I love Blogger but I also never got in touch with wordpress, so I want to give it a try. I think I’m making the right move.

Congrats on making the leap, hosting your blog on your own domain will always give you more options.

I use SmartFtp (www.SmartFTP.com) for ftp transfers, I have had no problems with it and there is a free version for download so you don’t have to buy anything :)
