A more relaxed lifestyle can be the first answer to the headache problems.

This is something I can’t do: to have a relaxed life. Suffering from cronic anxiety is most of the time difficult to avoid and ignore some basic problems.

I suffer from severe headaches and migraines at least once a month. Sometimes a stress situation is the trigger to a migraine that can last 3 days even with medication. Most of the times muscular tension is the first symptom for me to realize that I am under a huge amont of stress, later the migraines complete the scene. Other times I just wake up with the migraine and there is nothing I can do to get rid of it.

Doctors say, relax is the right remedy.

When a headache attacks us, the best thing is to understand its causes and try to eliminate them. But when it’s not possible to find a definitive solution for the problem, a simple hot bath or a little nap can be helpful. There are also some remedies available or, your life is really affected by headaches, you can always try a headache treatment and improve your lifestyle.

Headaches can also have simple causes like alchoolic drinks, lack or excess of sleep, poor lighting, noisy environment or a bad body position.

When is time to see a doctor?

Some types of headaches require urgent medical assistance:

  • A very strong headache, during up to 24 hours and very frequent.
  • Headache with:
    • nauseas and vomits
    • fever of 39ºC or more
    • fever and neck tension
    • recent head wounds
    • lost of coordination or double vision

Although with less urgency, you should see a doctor when the headaches:

  • demand the use of pain killers several times a day
  • are stronger each time they happen and do not disappear with the usual methods.
  • interfere with daily activities and sleep.

Take care of your headaches and have a better live.

As you said alcoholic drinks, lack or excess of sleep, poor lighting, noisy environment or a bad body position are the caused of headache.

Try to drink more water, don’t eat so much snacks or fast food until you have recovered your headache

GPS – Yes I see your point and you are right, the problem is that I don’t have time to exercise specially working full time, 2 kids, a house to take care…it’s complicated. I know…I have to find time for myself.
