Have a Better Life

This blog was down yesterday for a few hours due to the change between blogger and WordPress Platform.The blog is up now but I’m still building the sidebars once I have to transfer all the widgets to WP.All of you that are visiting this blog please be patient and check it soon. Thanks

To add: Sidebars are already working, I configured the permalinks to be equal to the blogger ones and I possible will change the theme. My favorite one isn’t working with these widgets and I can’t figure out why. I’ll keep trying

The domain of this blog is hosted for free on Blogger, but not for too long. In a few days the transference of this domain to Bluehost.com will be completed and I have a lot of work to do. I’m going to change the platform to WordPress so, in order for the blog to have a short downtime I have to work fast. I already changed my www.usefulstuffblog.com to WP, added a few plugins and I tried it to get some knowledge of the new platform.I don’t know if there is an easier way to do it but here is what I intend to do:

• Install WordPress with Fantastico
• Install some themes and choose the right one (I already have one in mind)
• Install some Plugins
• Copy all the codes in the sidebars
• Build the Blogroll (I guess I have to insert the links one by one)
• other details will be added later

I hope to do this very quickly, so if the blog is down it will be only for a couple of hours.

I’m removing the banners I had on the sidebars from Commission Junction. I’ve been advertising some companies that were related to this blog but after 14.460 impressions and 22 clicks (between 2 blogs) I have 0$ commissions, so I feel there is no need to fill my sidebars with banners that are there only to show a product or a service. I’ll continue to write about products, promotions and discounts on my posts without having the exposure of the banners, just in an informative way.
