We have to take good care of our eyes. We can’t see in the dark but when we need to, we should have enough and good lighting in order to keep our eyes in healthy.

Lighting in our house should be adjusted to the room and how we are going to use it. For instance if you have a computer desk it’s advised that you use a desk lamp for more visibility on the desk.

Fortunately there are a lot of people designing beautiful lighting fixtures and we can choose the ones that fit in our lifestyle and home. Farreys.com for example, has a huge variety of brands and models we can choose from.

My room has an indoor light Chandelier similar to one of the Kichler Lighting collection. Five lamps it’s enough for my master room, in the dressing room, once it’s smaller, I use a one light ceiling light. All bathrooms have ceiling lights and as well as the second floor hall. The living room has a Crystal Chandelier that looks perfect in there and in the library there is a corded pendant. In the kitchen I use a rectangular ceiling light with a fluorescent light.

If you like contemporary and high quality lightning you should take a look at the George Kovacs Lightning collection, you can choose from bath lights, table lamps, floor lamps and other all in several interesting models and materials.

When choosing lighting fixtures for your home think about your eyes first.

A study made with retired people that used to gather in a coffee in Illinois, showed that the ones that only sat and drank their coffee were not getting smarter but those that made a walk of around 45 minutes, three time a week, obtained better results in the QI tests.

The physical activity improves the arterial functions and rejuvenated arteries help to improve brain functions. intelligent

I have a fireplace in my house that I barely use. It’s a wood burning fireplace and I had to give up lighting it up because of my kids asthma.

I’m searching for some alternative room heater but I have not decided yet what I’m going to buy. Checking http://products.desatech.com I realized that there are several types of heaters available. The Infrared Vent-Free Gas Tower space heaters are quite interesting once they can fit in a small place and spread the heat all over the room, but the living room has plenty of space and I would like something different to put in there.

I must confess I’m not very fond of gas heaters so I’m pending to the Mini Electric Fireplace with Cast Iron Grate, I could use the old fireplace hole to insert this one. This will mean, no allergies, no yellowish walls and curtains from the smoke. I guess it’s a good option. I’m going to check a few more models before I decide.
