Indoor Heaters

I have a fireplace in my house that I barely use. It’s a wood burning fireplace and I had to give up lighting it up because of my kids asthma.

I’m searching for some alternative room heater but I have not decided yet what I’m going to buy. Checking http://products.desatech.com I realized that there are several types of heaters available. The Infrared Vent-Free Gas Tower space heaters are quite interesting once they can fit in a small place and spread the heat all over the room, but the living room has plenty of space and I would like something different to put in there.

I must confess I’m not very fond of gas heaters so I’m pending to the Mini Electric Fireplace with Cast Iron Grate, I could use the old fireplace hole to insert this one. This will mean, no allergies, no yellowish walls and curtains from the smoke. I guess it’s a good option. I’m going to check a few more models before I decide.

  1. My wife has bad reactions with her skin drying out with wood fireplaces, so that pretty much eliminated that choice for our new house. Had to go with gas. Honestly, the gas isn’t bad.

She has an electric space heater, a tiny little one, that she carries with her through the house during the winter. It drains a ton of power.
