Avoid the return of lost pounds

When the main objective is to lose weight and avoid the return of the lost pounds, there are some precautions to be taken into consideration.
There are some simple but efficient gestures.

  • Always eat at the table and never when you’re doing some other activity (watching TV, speaking on the phone, driving)
  • Don’t fill your plate, take a portion at a time so that you have the notion of the quantities
  • Begin the meals with soup or salad – the vegetables they contain produce a satiable sensation, avoiding excess eating.
  • Reduce the normal portions, getting your stomach used to receive less of each food
  • Eat slowly enjoying the food
  • Drink water instead of sodas and alcoholic drinks
  • Finish each meal before being completely full
  • Eat only when you are hungry, not has a response to emotions (sadness, boring, stress)
  • Eat several meals a day
  • Don’t go shopping when you’re hungry, it makes you buy unnecessary and less healthier products

These are great tips! It seems like people are always asking about the best way to lose weight or keep weight off… and many of these are extremely important (and seldom practiced!)

My tip: use a refeed day every 7 days, where you eat more calories than allowed (maybe +300kcal).
Your body is adapting a diet. If you “refeed” from time to time your body won’t turn into “starving mode” too much.
