With Summer just around the corner, travel and vacations are more frequents. I’m going to post several posts with information you should be aware of before and during the travels.

Heat effect:
The heat can cause several problems: dermic rashes (specially in children and obese individuals), fainting, dehydration, thermic shock, cramps, etc.

As a prevention and in hot climates you should:

  • drink higher amounts of water (in order to urinate every 2 or 3 hours).
  • wear light clothes , soft colours, large sleeves and brim hat, keeping yourself fresh and avoiding sun burns.
  • The daily bath and the use of talcum powder in the more sensitive areas of the skin help reducing the risk of rashes

  1. These are good points. I have acted carelessly at times when I thought that it wouldn’t matter. I have paid the price for it. Do you have experiences of any issues with heat?
